Custom Wedding Double Portrait

I was contacted by Katie to paint a double portrait for her brother-in-law as a wedding gift. She had a great photo to use for reference, with some challenging aspects that I was excited to try. The photo's background was blurred, so I chose to paint that with a wet-on-wet technique. I painted this on 9 x 12 in. Arches Cold Press Watercolor Block, with watercolors from Winsor & Newton, Chalkola, Letter Sparrow, Viviva, and Art Philosophy. I used Escoda Reserva Kolinsky Brushes and Cotman Brushes. The client loved the final piece, and congrats to the happy couple!
