The Cardin Lecture 2015
by Anne Kostecki
The Cardin Lecture is an annual event at Loyola University Maryland was established to foster exploration of topics pertinent to the Jewish and Christian traditions, particularly in the area of Jewish-Christian relations. This year, the topic was anti-Semitic legislation drafted by General Grant. I had a few concepts involving Civil War photography and typography, and my client really loved the combination of both. I chose a stylized photo of General Grant, a typographic lockup including engraved and serif typefaces, and a palette of white, black and ivory.
The invitation suite included an invitation, reply card, direction card, and envelopes. Additional print materials included a poster, program, and digital signage. Print materials were printed on Cougar Opaque White #80 cover with matching envelopes, and all materials were printed digitally.
