One of my quicker projects, I was asked to design a series of postcard valentines for Loyola undergrads to send to prospective students. For one of the cards, I designed a hand lettered version of a custom poem. I first traced the composition in pencil, then inked the design and digitized it in Adobe Illustrator. I kept the palette simple with a vibrant red and various grays. Both the writers and the recipients loved the cards.
The lettering was handmade in pencil, then digitally rendered. The postcards were trimmed to 4 x 6 inches and printed digitally on Cougar Opaque White 80# cover.
